Fall Frames
I love decorating for fall, so I've been looking for different fall decorations. I came across this awesome idea from A Diamond in the Stuff, here is her post Cheap but fabulous autumn decor. I decided to try out her idea and add my own little twist. I just used plain old picture frames, fall scrap booking paper, letters (I printed out from word), and ribbon. I think it came our pretty cute and added a little more of the fall season into my living room. Check it out:

Welcome to Sugar City, CO!
Often when people think of the state of Colorado, they think of big beautiful mountains. However in Sugar City, that is not the case. Population 242, ahem, I mean 245, is nothing but flat farm land with a post office, town hall, and cafe. Maybe they could count the cattle in with the population to give the city some higher numbers. :)
Although a city like this was not somewhere I've ever thought I would live, EVER, I really do like it here. It's peaceful, quiet, and safe! We have met some of the nicest people here and everyone has welcomed us. At first they ask "Why the hell did you move to Sugar City?" with a crazy look on their face, but they take the time to introduce themselves and have a short friendly conversation.
So maybe this big city girl has turned country?...Nah who am I kidding, that will never happen. :)

Starting My Blog
So I have decided to start my own blog. I don't know how well it going to go, but I thought it would be a nice way to keep friends and family updated on our life. I also thought it would be a nice way to document our little munchkins life :) So much is going on right now with getting out of the Marine Corps and moving to Colorado. We are getting settled in our new home and we are sure enjoying exploring new places in CO. Although we miss our family and friends, this was the right step for our little family.
Now for a little update, Shane is doing well with adjusting to civilian life. He is enjoying his new job, and will start his official training on the 18th. He is also going to start the school process soon and is attempting to take online classes. I have also started online classes. They sure are keeping me busy, but most of my time is devoted to my little man. He is growing up so fast :( Recently we have been working on teaching him names of animals and his ABC's. He is so smart and such a fast learner! Everyday he learns something new and everyday he makes mommy and daddy proud! Well that's it for the update, check back for some future updates, and bare with me while I start this blogging process.
Here's a couple new pictures of Ethan:
