I have always had struggles with my weight my whole life. This problem only intensified after giving birth to my son. During my pregnancy I gained 65lbs, which was really unhealthy for me. It was uncomfortable, hard to move around, and overall miserable. My weight gain stemmed from my husband being gone. He was deployed to Iraq for seven months. During his deployment, many factors contributed to me becoming depressed, angry, and lonely. These factors lead me to food. I took comfort in food and I over indulged which resulted in such a large weight gain.
This picture was taken the day I gave birth to my son. As you can see my belly was huge! It was so uncomfortable!
After I had my son it was really hard for me to shed the pounds. It wasn’t until my son was nine months old, that I got real serious about losing the weight. It has been a long and hard road, but since having my son I have lost all 65 pounds, plus an extra 20 pounds. My son will be two this month and I can happily say I have lost a total of 85 pounds! I have finally reached my goal weight, and I can finally say I am comfortable with my weight and I am healthier than ever!
