I just finished my very first furniture redo, and I am very excited to share! My first project is a chair. I bought a pair at goodwill for just $7.00 each! I really liked them, but I had no idea where I was going to put them so after pondering for awhile, I decided to just buy them (who couldn't use an extra pair of chairs, right?)
So for this chair I went with a baby blue that was left over from Ethan's old nursery. I love this color blue! I also decided to add a little something to it and painted a stencil pattern on top. I really love the way it turned out!
I also decided at the last minute before putting on Minwax protective finish to distress it a little. I took sandpaper and got all the edges and corners. I think I'm going to find a little table to go with the chairs and put it out on our patio, so I felt the distress look would be more fitting.
The white one is what it looked like before, not too bad, but kinda boring.

Now for the next chair what color do you think I should paint it? Same color blue? Or I was thinking maybe a pastel yellow, or sage green? Let me know what you think!

I LOVE it! It has some much more charm and character than the boring white chair.
I am obsessed with stencils right now, although I have never stenciled anything....yet. I bought my first stencil today actually. Can't wait to use it!
By the way our son's have the same name :)
