Let Go And Let God

Last week I wrote this post, as we were feeling a little lost and confused about things.
We found out the job we have been waiting on since September, the one we were hoping would working out since our move from Colorado, would not be happening as soon as we thought. At this point, if it even happens it wont be until the middle of next year. This came as a bit of a shock to us. A lot of the plans we made depend on this job, so the news was a huge let down.
In the midst of things I read this quote:

"When everything seems like its falling apart
That's when God is putting things together
just the way he wants it."

It's easy to be let down by the news of the job not working out.
It's easy to be mad, sad, and depress.
And it's easy to question why.

What's hard, is looking beyond that.
Pushing those emotions aside to look at the brighter picture.
To see it is God's doing and knowing that he is in the drivers seat taking us exactly where he wants us to be.

So last week, I took a step back and I prayed to God to asked him for his guidance.
Which is exactly what we got when we went looking for our next step.
There are many different opportunities opening up at my husbands current employer that we were informed of just last week. We went looking for a new place (cause you can't live in a one bedroom apt which equals one bed that is occupied by 3 people, forever, ya know) and we found an apartment. We met the sweetest people along the way and everything just feels right. It feels like it is falling into place just the way we needed it to. Next weekend we will be moving into our new place and we couldn't be more excited!

Making the decision to hand over our lives to God has not been an easy one.
It requires a lot of trust and faith.
But we know that everything in our lives has lead us to this point
And life just feels so much better when we are letting God take control.

My husband and I live by the saying, "Things always work out." No matter what, things always come through for us, right when we need them to. It IS hard to let go of things ~ but that always seems to be when things work out for the best. Congrats on the new place!

Sometimes it's so hard to let go, but when you do great things will happen! Not seeing the big picture can sometimes be a blessing. So glad you found a place and that you are letting God lead your hearts! Merry Christmas!

I have had a few job and housing situations that seemed desperate to me. In every case it seems like something fell through that I thought would be perfect, but it turned out God had something even better planned for me.

So weird...my friend texted that EXACT quote to me today! :) It is amazing. SO glad that God is working in this situation and guiding you in the direction you should go! Just rely on Him and let him lead your family! :) You can never go wrong with God as your guide!
