ivingThis weekend we drove home to visit family and spend the weekend at Nana & Papa's. Ethan just loves going home to spend time with them! It was a fun weekend filled with Christmas music, cutting down a Christmas tree, decorating, cookies, hot cocoa with whip cream, soup, and football!

Here's the tree we cut down. Because it was so rainy and yucky out

However, it was in the way of the fire pit and needed to come down eventually anyways..

Ethan got out his saw and was ready to help Daddy!

Shane successfully cut down the tree and it was taken by golf cart to the front door.
This cute little nest fell out of the tree.
It's nice to go home and see Chase too! We aren't allowed dogs in our apartment, so he gets to stay with Nana & Papa for awhile :(
He loves it though!
He thinks he's a farm dog now and likes to harass the horses.

Ethan loves being a country boy when we're home! Look at his little boots were lined up by Nana's.

After cutting down the tree and rearranging the room, it was time to decorate.

Shane and I put up the lights. Let me tell ya, that tree was really prickly! I think I said ouch every time we went around the tree.

Ethan helped put up the ornaments.

Here's the tree almost complete. Of course Nana has a country theme tree!

We ended the night with hot cocoa and watched the Badger game, well the guys did... Badgers are going to the rose bowl and the Packers are 12-0. Great weekend for Wisconsin football!

After this weekend, I can say I am officially in the Christmas spirit and I can't wait to decorate our little apartment ;)
