Chambray: Old Navy. Tank & flats: Maurices. Jeans: American Eagle.
Since I've started What I Wore Wednesday post, I've been gathering fashion inspiration from other great bloggers. Taking a look at my wardrobe, I've noticed I am missing a lot of key pieces which includes variety!
Jeans, shirts and sweaters is what you would see if you took a peek into my closet.
No jackets, not blazers, no skirts, and few dresses. So I've been working to find more of these key pieces to add.
One of the things many bloggers have pinned as a "must have" is the chambray button-up. I love the chambray look on others. When I put this outfit together, I thought it looked good, until I looked back at the photos in my viewfinder and noticed how baggy and bulky it was. Before I left the house I grabbed a skinny belt and tied it around my waist in hopes of adding shape. I didn't get a photo, but I'm still finding it hard to style this chambray. It's too short to tuck in and it's too big to put sweaters on top of.
So my question to you is, how do you style your chambray?

I found it hard to style mine too, so I did the ol' put a belt around it and call it good... take a peek here if you'd like:

I've also seen where girls wear a different button up underneath the chambary... I wanna try that one!
You have such gorgeous hair! I wear my chambray shirt so many different ways... layered underneath a cardigan or tank top, tied in a knot with a skirt, or by itself with color denim. Hope that helps!

beautiful hair! chambray button up has been so hot lately and that's one piece I do not have my closet! :(
I think your chambray is really cute! :) I used to have one, but it was way too baggy... I'm on the look out for a fitted one. :)
I just love Denim on Denim! So cute girl ! Love your outfit!
I think you look fantastic! But I'll have to check back later to see all the comments and feedback you get, because I want to know what others are doing too! :-)
LOVE your hair! It's absolutely gorgeous! And super cute outfit! I'm loving my Chambray tops! They are so fun and go with any color of bottom :)

I love my chambray shirt and actually posted about it today with links of ways I've worn it. : ) I almost didn't buy it because I'm cheap and it wasn't on clearance but I'm so glad I did because I wear it all the time!!
Oh, your beachy waves are so fantastic!
I think you could layer underneath, or roll up the sleeves and wear it open or tied at the waist. I'm sure you could make it work!

I think it looks cute! Maybe try with colored denim or tucked into a high waisted skirt.
I think you have got most of us just drooling over your hair, literally, my hair will only grow out to about my shoulders and then it just quits.... too sad, but at least a beautiful person like you can model that mane :)
Love the chambray, and how you paired it with jeans - looks SO cute! And your hair looks gorgeous :)

In general, styling to create a waistline is difficult for me. My torso is like a tree trunk - I have never had a waistline, even when I was in high school. Belts simply don't look good on me - at least I don't think so. The narrowest part of me is under the rib cage, but I think the belt or cinching there looks odd - though I've seen it look great on other people, I'm not a fan of it on myself. Any ideas?
Your hair looks gorg and I love that chambray top!
I don't think it looks bulky at all! I really like chambrays paired with skinny black jeans... feels very French to me! I tagged you in a blog award if you feel like playing along.
i know you've heard this a million times, but i love your hair.. =)
and honestly i think the top looks cute and not too baggy.. but i know we each have our reasons why we like or dislike something. i dont think anything could make you look bad though.. just sayin...
