I want to thank you all so much for your sweet comments, tweets, and emails about this little announcement we made last week! I was so excited to finally be able to spill the beans and share with you our little blessing. Now I thought I would be only fitting to fill you in on all of the details.

First off, the question everyone wants to know, how far along are you?

I am 12 weeks 5 days (everyday counts as we head into that second trimester).

When is baby due?

April 16th, since I will most likely have a repeat c-section baby will be here a week earlier.

How are you feeling?

The last couple months have been real rough and not just for me, but for our whole family. When the person who's responsible for keeping the household in line, can do nothing other than lay on the couch, between trips to the bathroom it doesn't make for a very steady household! To say the least..

It started at 5 weeks and since then I have had every first trimester symptom you can think of! In particular, the pesky morning sickness, which contradictory from it's name, lasts all day and all night. The thought of holding little peanut in my arms is what got me through each day. Thankfully, as we head into the second trimester and with a little help from the miracle worker that goes by the name of Zofran, I am feeling so much better!  Ready to tackle my household ;)

How does Ethan feel about the pregnancy?

Ethan is so, so excited to be a big brother! After begging us to make him a baby sister, in the microwave, for over a year, he has decided that he wants is getting a baby brother. No if's, and's, or but's about it! Either way, I know he is going to be an amazing, loving, and helpful big brother. He is constantly giving the baby hugs and kisses and at every meal he always asks me "does the baby like it mommy?" Poor guy has seen me hug the toilet too many time when the baby doesn't. 

In all seriousness, I feel like Ethan is at the perfect stage right now. He understands so much about what's going on. Of course every child has their moments, but for the most part, E has been so understanding and cooperative during this chaotic time.



How does the hubs feel?

Honestly, I think my husband has been waiting for and wanting our second child even more than me! I think he is really looking forward to getting to experience the whole pregnancy, birth, and newborn stage together. All of which he missed out on with Ethan because he was deployed.

My husband has truly been amazing with helping out with Ethan, getting the chores around the house done, running to McDonald's at 5 a.m., all while working full-time and going to school full-time. I can't thank you enough hunny!
